The Benefits

  • Having identified areas to improve at the local level, the ‘Go and See’ initiative has helped us build one central, joined-up, and more robust security strategy for all Pladis sites.
  • We have transformed the way Pladis manage risk and resilience by tracking critical site data via the SamTech platform. This has also been enabled by and resulted in a more skilled and committed team.
  • By implementing detailed reporting, we are able to keep our service resilient and responsive through officer time and attendance, proof of presence, and safeguarding of lone workers. SamTech keeps us accountable and drives continuous improvement.
  • Pladis are now able to access reporting directly, and generate detailed reports. This transparency has helped us work together with the client to spot irregularities and drive continuous improvement.

The Challenge

Pladis were looking to standardise security strategy and centralise the service over 10 sites nationwide. Part of this strategy was also to increase risk mitigation and resilience throughout a complex, demanding estate using a detailed, data-driven knowledge of the business.

Pladis were seeking for help to implement a suite of performance metrics for regular reporting and analysis, to continuously improve the risk model.

The Solution

To standardise security strategy, our management team conducted an in-depth review of the Pladis portfolio, known as our ‘Go and See’ initiative. This is part of our LEAN strategy, in which we undertook a detailed analysis of our operation, checking for risk mitigation points, duplication or over-processing, and suggesting efficiencies.

We have implemented HGV check-in and inspection, which gave us insights into the data to advise on , best practice to the client that can be implemented consistently across the portfolio, and create benefits like cost savings.

SamTech platform was brought in across all Pladis sites, enabling improved communication between officers, operations, and management. SamTech is available as an app, and, therefore, offers one integrated contract management solution using fully transparent data in real-time. It also helps mitigate risk through tracking of deliveries or visiting contractors to site, health and safety information, smart tours and patrols, and geo-location.
