A team of 40 working for Samsic UK and subsidiary JPC Cleaning has raised over £5000 for children’s charity Rainbow Trust by walking over 13 million steps in a month.

Employees including Anderson and Messalina (above) stepped up to the plate at the start of February and went on to smash it, beating the target of 10m steps by 3.5m.

The group raised more then £2500 in donations, which Samsic UK then match funded.

Samsic UK CEO, Jonathan King, who contributed over 300,000 steps to the tally, says:
“We’re absolutely astounded by the incredible effort of our people, and want to say a massive thank you to everyone who took part and everyone who donated. We had people right across our business, from board members to cleaning and security operatives, and from every region we operate in, from the south coast up to Fife!”

Last month’s challenge is just the start of a year of fund-raising by Samsic for charity partner, Rainbow Trust, which supports seriously ill children and their families.

Says Jonathan:
“We chose the Rainbow Trust as our corporate charity partner for this year because it provides essential support and care for families in acute need enabling them to make the most of precious time together.”

To help fund more hours of care for the Trust during 2021, Samsic and JPC employees are participating in events ranging from skydiving and bungie-jumping to running double marathons and swimming for two miles across London’s chilly Serpentine.
