SharkNinja

SharkNinja is a leading creators and supplier of innovative, premium home appliances. The company is divided into the Shark and Ninja brands, with Shark supplying vacuum cleaners and hair styling products, and Ninja specialising in ‘must have’ kitchen innovations.
The company’s UK headquarters is based at Battersea Power Station, with the grade II listed buildings and grounds now revitalised into state-of-the-art offices and workspaces, alongside shops, bars, entertainment centres, and more. Battersea Power Station, as well as being home to SharkNinja UK, is home to other prestigious brands such as Apple, Adidas, Boss, Chanel, Mulberry, and many more, and facilities management standards must be flawless to match the prestige of the campus.
Samsic maintains an ongoing relationship with SharkNinja, offering cleaning services to both SharkNinja and the wider Battersea Power Station complex. Recently, SharkNinja sought a front-of-house concierge service and additional security for their headquarters. They reached out to Samsic, and in response, we provided them with SIA-licensed security professionals who not only uphold their brand image but also enhance safety measures at their premises.

The Benefits

The collaborative relationship between Samsic and SharkNinja has flourished over time, beginning with cleaning services and expanding to include security and a concierge presence. Both businesses work in conjunction to improve professionalism and streamline operations at the SharkNinja head office. Samsic has become a facilities management partner for SharkNinja, providing multiple combined services that are tailored to their needs. 

Front-of-house standards and security have substantially improved under Samsic’s management. Our SIA-accredited security professionals provide exemplary customer service and safety for the client. SharkNinja has commended these new proactive and professional team members and is impressed with the service. The security staff are treated more like SharkNinja staff than as a separate security function and are popular with the internal team. Key performance indicators support this success, consistently scoring 101%, and there have been zero incidents since the introduction of the contract. 

Previously, before Samsic’s involvement, SharkNinja employees would perform reception duties, distracting them from their primary roles. The introduction of the professional concierge service has significantly elevated the efficiency and performance of SharkNinja’s head office operations. 

With trust having developed between SharkNinja and Samsic, the security function has evolved to become more dynamic and responsive. Over time, Samsic has expanded to include additional support functions such as evening and weekend coverage for events and alarm response. 

The Challenge

Prior to the placement of Samsic’s security-driven concierge service, SharkNinja lacked a dedicated receptionist and employees were taking turns covering this role. This rotation distracted and removed staff from their primary responsibilities, hampering productivity and internal operations, and was unsustainable for the business.   

The SharkNinja head office comprises office areas, warehouse storage, and a showroom, where visitors can view products and attend events such as new product launch parties. With so many visitors, and being based in a prime London location, SharkNinja wanted a security presence on-site to deter any criminal activity and protect the wellbeing of staff and products. The security presence, as well as being SIA-accredited, was also required to provide a front-of-house concierge service to handle visitor management without distracting internal employees.  

The Solution

Samsic implemented a multifaceted security solution for SharkNinja that included concierge reception, mobile patrols, manned guarding, and innovative technologies, such as SAMTECH to support the service.  

Our cloud-based SAMTECH platform enables efficient patrol management, incident logging, time and attendance tracking, and assists with client relations. By digitising all security activities, we are enhancing accountability and visibility for SharkNinja and Samsic management alike. Additionally, SharkNinja’s carbon footprint is reduced as paper is not required. 

The SentriKey system was introduced to empower SharkNinja employees with greater freedom of movement, allowing for after-hours and weekend work if required. SentriKey is our secure external key system, offering 24/7 access through hidden lockboxes.  

The concierge service involves meeting and greeting visitors, managing appointments, handling mail duties, reception duties, and acting as a representative of the SharkNinja brand. The security officers have friendly, relaxed personas to suit this service whilst being trained to deescalate situations and protect the premises, visitors, and employees of SharkNinja.  

To further support the security service, all security officers have access to a rapid-response mobile back-up unit, which can be on-site at SharkNinja within minutes in the event of an incident. Officers also have access to the Samsic Learning Management System (LMS) which provides training refreshers and 24/7 access to Samsic company policies.  

Outstanding performance is incentivised through our ‘Outstanding Service Contribution Recognition’ (OSCR’s) scheme. Alongside a desire to perform well in their role, Samsic security officers are rewarded for exemplary service with vouchers and recognition certificates in the event of ‘above and beyond’ service delivery, driving further results.
